Funeral services for Dorothy Reaves Murray, 88, was at 11 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Revs. Buddy Nelson and Jimmy Ford officiating. Burial was in the Whites Gap Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Janie Butler and her husband, Max, of Anniston; her son, Wallace Murray and his wife, Jackie, of Jacksonville; a sister, Flora McCrelles, of Jacksonville; a brother, Donald Reaves and his wife, Joan of Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren, Leah Murray Bridges and her husband Tom, Nicholas Murray and his wife, Jada and Kimberly Butler Stillwell; two special foster grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, Mary, Daniel and Luke Bridges and Mandi Stillwell Pearce and her husband, David; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Murray attended First Baptist Church of Anniston at McClellan, Asberry Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Murray and one son, Tommy Murray. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.klbrownfuneralhome.com.
