Funeral service for Mrs. Rosa Walker Summerville Ogletree, 90, was at noon Saturday, June 19, 2010, at New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville with the Rev. Roosevelt Parker officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. Mrs. Ogletree died on June 12, 2010, at Jacksonville Health & Rehab.

Survivors include children, Juliette (Gregory) Smith, Cleve (Brenda) Summerville, Lois L. Thomas, Gwendolyn Harris, Medral (Alonzo) Leonard and Tedral (Veronica) Ogletree; brother, John D. Walker; 16 grandchildren and host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ogletree was a Jacksonville native and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church for many years. She retired from Jacksonville State University. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers, Herman and Clyde Walker; sister, Alberta Nealous; her first born, James Summerville, Jr.; daughters, Betty Jean Summerville Davis and Donna Summerville Vincent. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church in care of Rev. Parker. Anniston Funeral Services was in charge.
