Funeral services for Frances L. Measles, 75, was Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Lonnie Welch officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery. Mrs. Measles died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Medical Center East in Birmingham.

She is survived by her son, Jerome Measles and his wife, Katy, of Jacksonville; four sisters, Betty Sims, of Steel, Ala., Agnes Glass and her husband, Glen, of Jacksonville, Patricia Chaney and her husband, Moe, of Jacksonville, Joyce Petraccio and her husband, Angelo, of Jacksonville; three brothers, Billy Measles and his wife, Ann, of Jacksonville, Monroe Measles and his wife, Brenda, of Piedmont, James Measles and his wife, Rachael, of Piedmont; two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the residents of Country Manor Retirement Home. Mrs. Measles was preceded in death by her parents, Nobie and James Measles and her son, Rickey Measles.
