For Jacksonville High School, seniors Taylor Palmer and Caroline Neisler both made their mark in the discus. Palmer came in fourth and Neisler seventh accounting for all of the Lady Eagles points.
UMS Wright won both the girls and boys 4A state championship.
For the Jacksonville boys, Stephen Waters brought home two third place finishes, in the shot put and in javelin.
T.R. Miller took first place in both boys and girls competition in 3A.
The White Plains boys’ team placed 13th with Daniel Sheppard being crowned state champ in the high jump.
Ben Alexander also added to the teams total points with a sixth place finish in the 3200 meter run and a fifth place finish in the 1600 meter run.
Hunter Livingston also contributed with a seventh place finish in the 110 meter hurdles.
For the White Plains girls, Jordyn Avery came in seventh place in the javelin.
Also in 3A competition, Pleasant Valley’s Kyle Bean placed 8th in the javelin.
