Jacksonville’s Tammy Johnson has been awarded the Alabama League for Nursing’s prestigious Lamplighter Award at a banquet on the Samford University campus in Birmingham.

Johnson was nominated by Jacksonville State University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences for her superb student advocacy and willingness to go the extra mile to help her students.

The Lamplighter Award recognizes individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the cause of a better society.
