JWC meets at Patti McLeod’s

The Jacksonville Women’s Club met at the home of Patti McLeod on January 12th. Members present were: Beverly Almaroad, Celia Almaroad, Ellen Bethea, Rita Boozer, Linda Burnette, Ranae Coheley, Adrianne Curvin, Rita Edwards, Joni Ginn, Dale McCartney, Stacey Porter, Veronica Porter, Margie Rhodes, and Phyllis Wright.

The public affairs’ program and was presented by Patti McLeod. She spoke on the ministry of “Our Father’s Arms”. It is a residential ministry for individuals and families in crisis that was created by her husband, Bob McLeod. The ministry has helped many people get back on the right path and to lead productive lives. A separate home, “Eagles’ Nest” has been created for ladies, mothers and their children. “Our Father’s Arms” has been blessed to have a church building for meetings, offices, an apartment for hospitality, and recording studios. This is their communications center called, the Haven (Healing And Victory Excluding None.)

The club has recycled 1508.5 pounds of paper for a conservation project. They will continue this project.

The members brought items to donate to” Second Chance”, a facility for ladies, mothers and their children in a crisis situation. In February the club will give monetary donations and/or items to “Eagles’ Nest” and “ Meals on Wheels”.
