The Board of Directors, Jacksonville Meals on Wheels, Inc. wish to thank the many churches, individuals and corporations who donated money in 2009 to keep this worthy program operating. We are now in our 27th year!

Our thanks go to the Jacksonville Medical Center for providing the meals and the many volunteers who contribute their time, automobiles and gas to deliver the meals. Thanks to these volunteers this program has no administrative costs.

An individual from the Jacksonville/Weaver area who is homebound and in need of receiving a hot nutritious meal five days a week may call Virginia MacRae at 435-8800 or Gwen Westbrook at 435-3574. The cost is based on the client's financial situation not to exceed $3.75 per meal.

We could not continue this community project without the generous donations received from the United Way of East Alabama, Calhoun County Community Foundation, First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Covenant Lutheran Church Jacksonville, Profile Baptist Church Jacksonville, First United Methodist Church Jacksonville, Jacksonville Merchants Assn., Jacksonville Exchange Club, Progressive Study Club, Women's Army Corps Veterans' Assn., Inter Se Study Club, Jacksonville Women's Club, and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.
