Funeral service for Judy A. Boozer, 68, were Saturday, December 12, 2009, at Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Leslee Bailey and Mark Green officiating. Burial was in Seibers Cemetery with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing services. Mrs. Boozer died Wednesday, December 8, 2009, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy R. Boozer, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Lana Lea Wilborn and her husband, Gary, of Anniston (Saks), and Kimberly Ann Bible and her husband, Johnny, of Heflin; a son, Randy Boozer and his wife, Donna, of Jacksonville; a sister, Barbara Henley, of Calera; six grandchildren, Janson Wilborn, Chandler Wilborn, Dillon Bible, Ragon Boozer, Kalie Bible and Dayton Boozer; four nieces and four nephews.
Pallbearers were Janson Wilborn, Chandler Wilborn, Dillon Bible, Ragon Boozer, Dayton Boozer and Johnny Bible.
Mrs. Boozer was a member of Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church. She enjoyed making pottery at her home in her studio with her friend, Myra Davenport. She was a former member of the Artworks Studio in Anniston where her pottery had been displayed. She was very talented in any art or craft that she pursued. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Her family finds much comfort in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Margaret Adams. Graveside services for Kathleen Knight, 71, will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lineville. The family will receive friends at K.L. Brown Funeral Home in Jacksonville tonight from 6-8 p.m.
VINSON
Services for Mrs. Donna Summerville Vinson, age 55 of Jacksonville was Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Parker, Sr. officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery with Anniston Funeral services in charge. Mrs. Vinson died on December 7, 2009 at UAB Hospital.
Survivors include: her daughter, Ms. Nicky Summerville, her mother, Rosa Ogletree both of Jacksonville, her siblings, Juliette (Gregory) Smith of Talladega, Cleve (Brenda) Summerville of Jacksonville, Lois Thomas of Montgomery, Gwendolyn Harris and Medral (Alonzo) Leonard both of Anniston, and Tedral (Veronica) Ogletree of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Vinson was a Jacksonville native and a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and attended Gadsden State Community College.
