CAUBLE

Graveside services for Emma Jean Cauble, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Fort McClellan Post Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Barksdale officiating. The family will receive friends at K.L. Brown Funeral Home, in Jacksonville, Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Mrs. Cauble died Saturday in Jacksonville.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Cauble and his wife, Gloria, of Jacksonville and William Cauble and his wife, Cynthia, of Charleston, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Christopher Cauble and his wife, Crystal, of Jacksonville, Anna Parnell and Noelle Cauble, both of Montgomery. FICKLEN

Patricia Ann Ficklen, 59, of Tallahassee Florida passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at Capitol Regional Medical Center. Memorial service was held Sunday Dec. 6, 2009 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel in Tallahassee, Fla.

She was born in Augusta, Ga., and lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Ala. Patricia graduated Jacksonville State University and moved to Tallahassee where she received her masters degree from Florida State University. She is a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Tallahassee. She worked for Florida State University Library Systems, as a Cataloger for Special Collections. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Erwin.

Survivors include her husband, David Ficklen of Tallahassee, two sons, Joel and Joshua Ficklen of Jacksonville; her father, Andrew L Erwin of Jacksonville; one sister, Phyllis Carnes of Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tallahassee Humane Society.

GANN

Funeral service for Mary Frances Gann, 80, were at 1 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Joseph Jones and Carter Jones officiating. Burial was in West Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gann died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Gail (Alvin) Weldon, of Weaver; three sons, Kenneth Lee (Loretta) Gann Sr., of Jacksonville, Howard William Gann, of Piedmont, and Grover Lee (Dawn) Gann Jr., of Piedmont; one sister, Virginia King Pugh, of Anniston; a special niece, Brenda Diane Martin, of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Paul Gann, Lee, Michael and David Gann, Krystal Grabowski, Angelia Gann Fox, Dalton Gann Fox, and Jonathan and Rebecca Gann; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin and Barry Martin, David and Lee Gann, C.J. Short, Henry Campeaux and Carter Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends from the Jacksonville Senior Citizens Center.

Mrs. Gann was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was avid in the Jacksonville Senior Citizens Center. She was well known and loved by all who knew her. When she passed, she was surrounded by her family who will always remember her for the loving mother and grandmother she was. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Ada Jane King; her husband, Grover Lee Gann Sr.; her daughter, Carolyn Frances Gann Houck and her son, Phillip Wayne Gann. LANHAM

Teresa Austin Lanham, 44, passed away November 28, 2009. Teresa was a hard working, fun loving, generous and caring person, who was loved by all who knew her. Services were Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home. Burial was at Young's Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Bruce Jenkins officiated. Crestwood Funeral Home, Gadsden, is in charge.

Teresa owned Teresa's Tax Service and was employed by McCord Concrete and B&M Metals. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Austin; grandparents, Martin and Susie Heath and Chester and Antonia Austin. Survived by her husband, Randy Lanham Sr.; son, Randy Jr., of Webster Chapel; mother, C. Jan Austin; brothers, Bryan (Nadine) Austin, Charles Austin and Monty Austin; nephews, Keith, Heath and Chet Austin; nieces, Carye and Kaley Austin and Riley Stephens; numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers were family and friends.

PARRIS

Funeral service for Linda Joan Parris, 60, of the Nances Creek community was Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Jeffery McElroy and the Rev. Gene Burns officiating. Burial followed at Nances Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Parris died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Grover Clinton Parris; one son, Edward L. Parris (Melissa) of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Chloe Parris and Ella Grace Parris; four sisters, Wanda Cromer (Jerry) of Nances Creek, Sandra Traffanstedt (Tommy) of Spring Garden, Brenda Rogers (James) of Piedmont and Betty Kurpakus (Brian) of Gadsden; one brother, Kenneth Lipscomb (Rose) of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Adam Johnson, Horace Parris, Floyd Parris, Chad Lloyd, Waylon Parris and Adam Kurpakus.

Mrs. Parris was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was a member of Holly Crossroads Baptist Church.

SHARP

Private funeral services were held for Janet Carol Sharp. Ms. Sharp passed away on Saturday, November 21.

She is survived by her husband, Adrian F. Aveni; two sons, Morgan Sharp Aveni and Tyler Jackson Aveni; her brother, Mitchell Sharp, of Montgomery; her sister, Joy Sharp, of Washington, D.C.; and her father, Wilburn Sharp, of Anniston.

Janet was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed music, literature, and gardening. She was compassionate toward others and had a special way with animals. All of us who knew Janet will deeply miss her. WEST

Funeral services for Doris Fay West, 80, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Jeff Stewart officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mrs. West died Saturday at her residence.

She is survived by three daughters, Jackie F. Midgett and her husband, David Wayne, of Jacksonville, Victoria Massey, of Weaver, and Kathy Mikula and her husband, James, of Romeo, Mich.; a loving sister, Barbara Davis Kanaziz and her husband, Art, of Imlay City, Mich.; a brother, Larry W. Davis and his wife, Bella, of Luther, Mich.; 9 grandchildren, Marc, Christine, John and SGT Joseph Mikula, LT John and Jacob Zellar, Jessica Kauflin, James and Brianne Mikula. 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jacob Zellar, LT John D. Zellar, Russell West, Marc Mikula, Jimmy West and Brady Zellar.

Doris was born in Jacksonville, Mill Village; was daring, feisty and determined with a zest for life and was always a hard worker. Doris was a wonderful, loving, generous, compassionate wife, mother and grandmother (Nunu), dedicated to her family. She was an avid reader and loved Bingo, watching General Hospital and western movies. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry West, her parents, Vilas Jackson Davis and Buna Irene Davis and her brother Sam (Jack) Davis.
