CHANEY

Memorial Service for George Max Chaney, 80, was Monday, November 2, 2009 at at the Foot of the Cross Church, 4600 McClellan Boulevard, with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Austin officiating. Mr. Chaney died Friday, October 30, 2009, at RMC in Anniston.

He is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Joseph) Trawinski, of Cary, Ill. and Tracy Gaddy, of Jacksonville; three sons, Phillip (Kerry) Austin, of Jacksonville, Lenny Austin, of Anniston and John Davis, of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

FITE

State representative, third-generation grocery store owner and native Annistonian Leamon Milliard "Lea" Fite Jr., 54, died unexpectedly Monday, October 26, 2009, at his home in Jacksonville. Fite, a life-long Democrat, was serving his second term in the Alabama State House of Representatives as the elected official representing District 40, which includes Jacksonville, Choccolocco, DeArmanville, Piedmont and parts of Anniston. Fite was the former chairman of the Calhoun County Commission and was elected twice to full terms as a commissioner representing the northern section of Calhoun County. He was known for his humor, kindness and acts of generosity. He was the co-owner of Discount Foods of Anniston with his long-time friend, Mike Sanders. Fite was preceded in death by his grandparents, Exa and Carl Dulaney of Eastaboga and Howard and Lucille Fite of Anniston.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Fite of Jacksonville, and parents, Leamon Fite Sr. and Ruth D. Fite of Anniston; children, Leamon Fite III (Alicia) of Auburn, Jerrod Heath Fite of Cullman, Wes Fite of Anniston and Laurie McLeod (Scott) of Anniston; grandchildren, Hunter Blake Landers, Ella Grace Fite and Taylor Hicks.

Funeral service was Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Iron City Baptist Church, Highway 9, Anniston. The Rev. Dr. Mike Holcomb officiated and former senator Doug Ghee and State Rep. Randy Hinshaw of Madison County spoke at the service. A private burial followed for family members only.

Pallbearers were Kenneth G. Mullinax Jr., John E. Blue II, Doug Ghee, Honorable Rudy Abbott, Honorable Steve Hurst, Mike Sanders, Dennis Lipham, Honorable Randy Hinshaw, Stan Cook and Honorable Randy Wood. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Alabama State House of Representatives.

ROBINSON

Funeral service for Edna June Robinson, 55, was at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Byrian Watts officiating. Burial was at Jacksonville City Cemetery. Mrs. Robinson died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Robinson; two daughters, Kim Spicer and her husband, David and Cristie Bourland and her husband, Chris; one sister, Gail Bundrum and her husband, Elbert; three brothers, Bobby Heath and his wife, Becky, Edfort Heath and Curtis Heath and his wife, Teresa; two grandchildren, Dixie Spicer and Bella Bourland; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Eric Bundrum, Curtis Dale Heath, Randy Heath, Ricky Heath, Shad Grissom, Justin Heath, Landon Sims, Cameron Heath and Billy Morgan Jr. Mrs. Robinson was born and raised in Calhoun County and was a member of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Jacksonville. ROSEBERRY

Memorial services for Ralph Waldo Roseberry III, 64, were Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the residence of Ray Roseberry 1201 Derek Drive, SW, Jacksonville, with the Rev. Bob St. John officiating. Mr. Roseberry died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Roseberry, of Jacksonville; one daughter, Barbara Renea Caldwell, of Fort Leonard, Mo.; one son, Raymond Lee Roseberry, of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Michael, Kenny, Billy, Taylor, Natalie and Dylan; five nieces and three nephews.
