Despite all the concerns beforehand, the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, haven't been plagued by protests and/or violence from those opposed to President Putin's controversial policies.

One of the few incidents involve the Russian punk rock group Pussy Riot, which staged a demonstration in Sochi earlier this week. Video of security forces, including Cossack soldiers, whipping the women went viral online. The group has become international figures after two of its members were released from prison earlier this year.

Today, the group released a new music video that includes part of that incident. The lyrics are in Russian, of course, but it's nonetheless interesting to see what happened to them in Sochi. Additionally, the Washington Post's coverage tries to explain the status of the group that had appeared to be splintered in recent weeks.
