This was written in memory of our beloved daughter and sister. Our precious family member supposedly passed away alone at the home of her boyfriend in Anniston on the morning of June 14, 2012. Unfortunately, we are not certain when she passed away or of the actual cause of death. Some might think this is trivial but, under the circumstances, it is very important.

According to the incident report, there were no obvious signs of foul play so no toxicology report or autopsy was performed. Since this was supposedly an unattended death, it is impossible not to question the authorities who were on the scene. This was a very intelligent, talented and beautiful person who had recently celebrated her 47th birthday. There were no underlying health issues, yet the cause of death noted was a massive heart attack. How was that conclusion reached when not a single test or report was ordered?

We want others to be aware that if there is any doubt, whatsoever, to please insist that an autopsy or toxicology report be performed. This family will never have closure because we failed to do that.

We would like to thank Brian McVeigh, Calhoun County District attorney, for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. He answered every question concerning the death of our loved one.

Since our precious family member can no longer speak for herself, we felt we owed her the honor to speak for her. There will always be a huge void in our lives which can never be filled.
