Celebration held as Moyer turns 100

Emma Kirk Moyer, formerly of Anniston, was 100-years-old Jan. 12. A celebration was held at Crystal Bay in Destin, Fla. Moyer has one child, Dianne Pope who lives part time in Destin, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Moyer worked as a nurse helping soldiers during World War II while living in Anniston. She now serves as an ambassador at Crystal Bay welcoming new residents. She enjoys reading, cheering on Auburn University and playing Wii bowling.
