Officials with an area drug task force on Friday announced the arrest of four men on charges of trafficking cocaine.

Officers with the Calhoun Cleburne County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force obtained a warrant Thursday to search the home of Cornelius Dontae Almon, at the 700 block of South Allen Avenue, according to a release sent by Task Force Capt. Chris Roberson,

During the search, investigators found 150 grams of cocaine, eight grams of marijuana, and paraphernalia related to the distribution of controlled substance, Roberson wrote.

The cocaine had a value of approximately $5,000, according to the press release.

Roberson wrote in the release that the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation and he expects to arrest more suspects.

Almon, 34, as well as 32-year-old Lawarren Edmondson, 28-year-old Darius Stevan Murray and 37-year-old Tedrick Demond McKenzie face charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to jail records. Edmondson and Murray also face charges of possession of marijuana.

All four men were released on bond from the Calhoun County Jail on Friday evening, according to a jail worker. Almon and McKenzie were released on $28,000 bond each, and Edmondson and Murray were released on $29,000 bond each, according to a jail worker.
