A Munford man turned himself in Thursday on charges that he didn’t pay for more than $2,700 in vehicle repairs in June, Anniston police said Friday.

Conrad Greene, 28 faces a felony theft of services charge, according to a warrant for his arrest.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, between June 19 and June 22, Greene took his Dodge Ram pickup truck to Aamco Transmission in Anniston. The repairs added up to $2,792, George said.

According to police, Greene wrote a check for the repairs, which the owner deposited in his bank. The owner told police that he received a letter in the mail after the check had been deposited, which said that Greene had stopped the payment.

Greene was released Thursday on a $20,000 bond, according to George. Greene is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 2, according to a police report.
