A woman arrested Wednesday on a child endangerment charge exposed her child to drugs, according to a warrant for her arrest.

Taleshia Vashay Woodard, 28, of Anniston, was in the Calhoun County Jail today on a charge of chemical endangerment to a child, a felony, according to a police report.

According to a warrant for Woodard’s arrest, signed by Circuit Judge Debra Jones, officials at the Calhoun County District Attorney’s Office believe Woodard exposed her child to a chemical, illegal, or controlled substance on Nov. 7.

The DA investigator assigned to the case, Chris Hughes, and district attorney Brian McVeigh both said that they could not release any information about the case this afternoon.

Woodard was in the Calhoun County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond this afternoon. She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 19, according to court records and a police report.
