AUBURN -- Jacksonville State could not handle the Auburn's size in a 66-49 loss to the Tigers in an in-state battle on Wednesday night at the Auburn Arena.

Auburn got 19 points and nine rebounds from 6-foot-2 Tra'Cee Tanner and 14 points and eight rebounds from 6-5 Peyton Davis.

For JSU (0-2), junior Candace Morton knocked down 12 of her team-high 21 points in the first half. It was her second-straight 21-point game and her third game of 20 or more points in her career. Freshman Kelly Naughton led the Gamecocks in rebounding with six boards to go along with her four assists in 33 minutes of action.

The Gamecocks conclude their season-opening, three-game road trip Saturday in Statesboro, Ga., to take on Georgia Southern.
