On Nov. 2, 2013, members of Saint Mark UMC and DeArmanville UMC, along with volunteers from Tri-County Outreach, participated in a meal packaging event for Stop Hunger Now. More than 50 participants packaged more than 10,000 meals in less than 1.5 hours. This is accomplished by an assembly line process that the Stop Hunger Now organization has developed. The meals consist of rice, soy protein, dried vegetable, and vitamins packaged in six-meal bags. Stop Hunger Now feeds under nourished children in 65 countries around the world. To find out more about the program or to see about scheduling a packaging event for you organization go to http://www.stophungernow.org/.
