Re “Sugarcoating won’t work — Obama was right to admit the obvious about online marketplaces’ problems” (Editorial, Oct. 22):

The U.S. Government has a longstanding track record in big business. In 1792, it created the U.S. Post Office. In 2012, revenues for the USPS were more than $65 billion. The losses, after more than $5.5 billion in subsidies, were $16.9 billion.

So the editorial board of The Anniston Star is now trying to convince us that the U.S. government can control one-sixth of the U.S. economy and it will be good for the American people.

Obama’s IT guys are good a loading votes into the ballot box, but it is obvious that they cannot run a business.
