Hello from Happy Hill. Hope this finds everyone doing good.

It was a joy to be at Happy Hill Sunday. Sunday School attendance was up and the church was almost full for preaching. It was good to see some new faces in the congregation. The youth sang and performed a drama. Special singing by Holly Benefield and Vicky Blanton. Consider this your special invitation to join us Sunday.

Sunday School - 10:00; Preaching - 11:00 Join us in praying for Irmalene and Robert Norton, Joyce Austin, Butch and Alice Pair, Rider Bearden, Edna Hubbard, Linda Bailey, Martha Ledford, Kerry Smith, Andrea Wise Smith and Roger Ledbetter.

Remember to attend church Sunday. Until next time, God Bless.

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Dear Grandson:

I have become a little older since I saw you last, and a few changes have come into my life since then. Frankly, I have become quite an old gal. I am seeing five gentlemen every day. As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me get out of bed. Then I go to see John. The Charlie Horse comes along, and when he is here, he takes a lot of my time and attention. When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. He doesn’t like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint. After such a busy day, I’m really tired and glad to spend a quiet evening with Ben Gay. What a life.

P.S. The preacher came to call the other day. He said at my age I should be thinking of the hereafter. I told him, “Oh, I do it all the time.” No matter where I am, in the parlor, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement, I ask myself, “Now, what am I here after?”
