Yes, I’m tired of hearing about Johnny Football, Johnny Touchdown, Johnny Foosball, Johnny Autograph or whatever else they’re calling Texas A&M’s quarterback these days.

And, yes, I’m excited to see Alabama’s game Saturday at Texas A&M. I hate to say it, but the most overhyped game in college football has my attention. In full.

I want to see the rematch of last season’s riveting game in Tuscaloosa, which A&M won 29-24.

It looked as if it took Alabama about a quarter to recover from its post-LSU win hangover. (We think.) It looked as if it took Alabama about two quarters to figure out the best way to stop Johnny Manziel’s scrambles was to overload one side and force him to run to the other. (We think.)

It looked as if Alabama would win if these two teams played again. (We think.) It looked as if pro-style offense teams such as Alabama aren’t ready to give over college football’s stage to spread teams such as Texas A&M. (We think.)

So, it should be fun to see these two teams fight it out again. (We think.)
