TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama wide receiver Kenny Bell is no longer a part of the football team, according to posts on his Twitter account.

Bell, a senior from Rayville, La., tweeted the news today, posting, "it's been a nice run but I'm hanging up my cleats."

An Alabama spokesperson would not confirm the news and said Tide coach Nick Saban will provide an update during his press conference today at 6 p.m.

Bell also posted, "..I know I'm going to lose so many friends and followers and get more negative talk from people but truth is I Dnt care."

In addition, he posted, "..time too focus on my responsibilities MY kiDS."

Bell caught 17 passes for 431 yards and three touchdowns last year. He suffered a broken leg in the regular-season finale against Auburn and missed the SEC and BCS championship games.

He played in Saturday's 35-10 win over Virginia Tech but did not catch a pass.
