Anniston police today were investigating three incidents in which suspects fired a gun into the Norwood Homes apartment complex Monday night.

Anniston Capt. Allen George said he believes the shootings were related because they all took place around the same time: from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

George said police discovered five bullet holes in the exterior wall of the complex and received two phone calls from victims.

One man told police a bullet entered his apartment through his window and struck his wall, his dresser and his crystal dish. Another victim, who had been visiting a friend at the complex, told police she went outside when she heard gunshots and discovered a bullet hole in her rear driver’s-side door.

No one was injured in the shootings, George said.

There were no suspects and nothing had been recovered from the scene, the captain said this morning. The total damages are estimated at $3,050, according to police reports.

Any suspects could face felony charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied building, according to police reports.
