Let us count the reasons why Anniston native Tyler Siskey must feel good about his move from Ole Miss to Alabama.

He got to come back to his home state and reunite with quarterback AJ McCarron, Siskey’s apt pupil at St. Paul’s Episcopal.

Siskey also gets to play his behind-the-scenes, strategizing role with college football’s reigning recruiting leviathan, so no one will question things if he helps Nick Saban produce yet another highly ranked class.

Too bad the world won’t believe what Siskey helped Ole Miss accomplish with its 2013 class. In the latest news, NCAA snoops have reportedly interviewed Mississippi State’s Chris Jones about his recruitment by rival Ole Miss.

NCAA snoops routinely conduct such interviews, but the world pounces on any smoke around Ole Miss’ 2013 class. It seems there’s no believing the Rebels could have signed defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil legitimately.

It seems there’s no believing that a smart, go-getter like Siskey could have helped former boss Hugh Freeze work relationship angles to pull in an eye-opening haul and lay groundwork for other top recruits to look Ole Miss’ way.

Well, welcome home, Tyler, and breathe easy. Here, the world expects you to land top recruits.
