Re “Jacksonville recycling program expanding despite complaints” (News article, July 30):

I am truly puzzled. As I read The Star’s article highlighting information regarding the change of providers for recycling in Jacksonville, it seems we need to revisit the meaning of recycle.

Who could imagine they refuse pizza boxes? Heaven knows in our neighborhood if there is only one box per delivery, a landfill would be overflowing.

Refuse that huge cardboard box?

Also, as I understand, no milk cartons, so those go to landfill to exist forever?

No plastic bags? What do you think we hang on the door that when full we take outside to their container?

I love the fact that our city cares about our environment, but, let’s lose the exceptions.
