Todd Hart, area manager for Jack’s, has been with the company 25 years. His father, the late Gene Hart, was general manager and area manager 20 years.
Another Hart, Todd’s mother and Gene’s widow, is hostess.
“We have a full line breakfast,” said the junior Hart. “For lunch we have fried chicken, chicken fingers and a full line of burgers as well as other food.”
Jack’s is located at 602 Pelham Road, S. It’s open Sunday through Thursday from 5 a.m.-10 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Piedmont native Connie DuBois Morgan is manager. Morgan was general manager at Jack’s in Piedmont for 10 years prior to coming to Jacksonville.
Hart describes her as “capable. She loves working with the community. She gets involved with the school, is an excellent trainer and has a good knowledge of business.”
Morgan said that Jack’s is known for being a friendly, family restaurant and she wants to help continue that tradition. She and her husband, Freddie, have four children -- Erica, Emily, Josh and Joseph, and one grandchild, Cameron.
Morgan first worked at Jack’s when she was 16 and a student at Piedmont High School. She worked her way up to shift leader before marrying and moving away. She is a member of Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church in Piedmont.
Hart began his work at Jack’s in 1986. He and his wife, the former Gloria Norton, live in Weaver. Their children are Matthew Hart, Andrea Rhoades and Nathan Glenn. They have two grandchildren.
Jack’s parent company is Jack’s Family Restaurant.
