Ever wonder how advertising agencies select the music that accompanies TV commercials? We do, too.
For instance, what led the creators of Fiat's new ad campaign to select a 41-year-old glam rock song? T. Rex's "Children of the Revolution" was a hit in 1972. It's hardly a regular on modern classic rock radio. And, oddly enough, the complete version of the song references a different brand of automobile - Rolls Royce. Regardless, the ad works on some level. (Granted, Geico got their first with the Paul Revere shtick.)
