A 71-year-old man discovered his car was missing Monday morning when he walked outside his Anniston home.

Anniston police Capt. Allen George said the victim’s 1997 white Volvo 850 was stolen from his yard on the 100 block of Willingham Bridge Road. George said the man told police he could not remember if he left his keys in the car.

The car was stolen Monday between 1:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., according to a police report.

The car did not have anything valuable inside it, the captain said.

Police had no suspects and were investigating the theft this morning, George said.

Any suspect could face felony first-degree theft charges.
