The JSU Honors Program was awarded First Place as Top Fundraising School/Education Program at the Relay for Life Team Captain Wrap-Up Celebration.

The award is the culmination of this year’s major service initiative led by Janet Whitmore and Elite Honors Scholars, who raised over $6000.

Students selected Relay for Life in Ms. Whitmore’s honor who was also selected as Honorary Survivor Chair for Calhoun County. The students worked on fundraisers during the fall and spring semesters.
