It’s that time at Public Library is gearing up for the 2013 Summer Reading Program, “Dig Into Reading.” gain, and Piedmon The Program will run from June 3 through July 13 this year, and children from toddlers through age 18 are welcome to join. The program is chock full of fun this year, with The Learning Farm every Tuesday. The kids will walk to the learning farm, have story time under the trees, and try hands on activities. On Thursdays we will have story and craft time at the Library. And on Friday, we will have our big events, including a magician, two different animal shows, a balloon show, the Imagination Museum Curious Clay, and to end the program, Starshine Faces face painting and a Pizza Party. To complete the program, the child or young adult must read 12 books in the 6 week time period. Special events are optional, but encouraged! Prizes will be given for each three books read, and those who complete all 12 books will receive a free t-shirt and Happy Meal and will have a chance to win more prizes as well. Registration has begun so visit the Library today for more information and a complete calendar of events.
