Maggie Woodruff Morgan of Anniston recently received the 2013 Taylor medal from the University of Mississippi. It is one of the highest academic awards of the university. She was honored with other students at the 70th annual honors convocation at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. She is a senior forensic chemistry/pre-med major in the College of Liberal Arts. A member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, she won the Analytical Chemistry Student award, Donald Pichitino Honors Scholarship and Mattingly Pre-Med Scholarship. A graduate of The Donoho School, she is the daughter of Dr. Gary and Cherri Morgan, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Morgan of Booneville, Miss.; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Windham of Baldwyn, Miss.; and Ms. Loreda Harrison of Tupelo, Miss.
