Police on Monday were investigating a report of several bleachers stolen from Woodland Park.

Anniston police Capt. Allen George said a Woodland Park employee noticed three bleacher sections missing and filed a report. The employee told police the bleachers were stolen between April 19 and Friday. The report estimates the seats were worth $6,000.

Steven Folks, Anniston parks and recreation director, said the bleachers were located in a storage area at Woodland Park. Folks said the extra aluminum bleachers were reported missing when a park employee went into storage area to count its contents. Folks said he believed it would take at least three or four people to move the seats.

George said police were searching for suspects Monday.

A suspect could face charges of first-degree theft, a felony, according to the report.
