Players with ties to JSU make noise at ACC Open

Players with Jacksonville State ties won the men’s open singles and men’s open doubles in the Anniston Country Club Open this past weekend.

JSU graduate assistant coach Scott Robertson won the singles title, while current JSU player Igor Santos was runner-up. Robertson and Santos took the men’s doubles crown.

The complete winners:

Men’s open singles champion: Robertson; runner-up: Santos.

Men’s open doubles champions: Robertson/ Santos; runner-up: Mariano Runco/Kirill Pervun.

Men’s 4.5 singles champion: Dustin Helms; runner-up: Joe Beltran.

Men’s 4.5 doubles champions: Bill Lawrence/Bob Sims; runner-up: Bill Reid/Tom Wilczek.

Men’s 4.0 doubles champions: Daniel Leonard/Charlie Rogers; runners-up: Mark Camp/Tim Clothier.

Men’s 3.5 singles champion: Luis Habibollahi; runner-up: Scott King.

Women’s 4.0 singles champion: Lisa Putnam; runner-up: Janet Ginn.

Women’s 3.5 doubles champions: Gwen Ford/Karen Godfree; runners-up: Tracy Reid/Stephanie Scremin.

8.0 mixed doubles champions: Sebastian Stanescu/Jennifer Little; runners-up: Gwen Ford/Craig Ford.
