The final stop in the Anniston City Council's "Listening Tour" was postponed today due to severe weather.

The event was set to take place at 6 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church.

City leaders organized the tour to get feedback from local residents about ways to improve the city. Council members say the suggestions they receive from the community will be used to craft Anniston's strategic plan.

As of this afternoon, city leaders had not announced a new date for the final stop on the listening tour.

A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for Calhoun, Talladega and Cherokee counties until 5 p.m.
