Moore, 73, was admitted to Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., on Wednesday night.
“Coach Moore is resting comfortably and continues to undergo tests required to further evaluate his condition,” said a release from university relations today.
Before moving to Duke, Moore had been a patient at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, undergoing tests and treatment.
Moore has served as athletics director at Alabama since Nov. 23, 1999. He played at Alabama under Bear Bryant and served as an assistant under Bryant for the Tide during 1964-82. He also coached at Alabama under Gene Stallings during 1990-93.
Moore was admitted to DCH Regional Medical Center for two days in August 2012 for an irregular heartbeat, and at the time, the university released a statement saying the admittance was a precautionary measure.
