The 21-year-old victim was shot outside Barber Terrace Apartments on South Allen Avenue between 8:30 and 8:45 Wednesday morning, according to a police report. Sgt. Chris Sparks said the victim was in stable condition this afternoon and recovering at Regional Medical Center.
A police report states one 9 mm shell casing was recovered at the scene.
Sparks said police have identified a suspect, but that the victim has not been cooperative during the investigation. The sergeant said the victim knew the shooter and police believe this to be an isolated incident.
A suspect is likely to face first-degree felony assault charges, Sparks said.
