In the time it takes today’s newborns to reach their 30th birthday, the changing look of America will be complete.

On Wednesday, the Census Bureau confirmed what we already knew: The United States is getting more diverse with each passing year. By 2043 — 31 years away — white people will no longer make up a majority of the population.

We advise two responses:

(1.) Embrace diversity. It broadens horizons and deepens our understanding of all races.

(2.) Advise politicians to see this as opportunity, not an apocalypse. Voters come in all shapes, all sizes, and, yes, all races.
