White Plains fired a 334 for a 661 two-day total to finish one shot ahead of Westminster Christian for fourth place in the state 1A-2A tournament. Of the five Wildcat golfers, three made improvements over the first day. Jason Rich and Jordan Evans cut three strokes with an 80 and 86, respectively. Kaleb Burgess improved nine with his 81. His highlight was a birdie on the Par 4 13th hole, and he played the back 9 at 1-over par. First-day leader Jaren Humphrey didn't manage to improve on his 2-under, first-day round of 70. He carded an 87 on the second day to finish in a tie for 11th. |
