Turkey Calling Championships coming The state turkey calling championship will be held on Saturday, sanctioned by the National Wild Turkey federation and hosted by T&L Outdoors. Competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. with five different divisions. Except for the Senior Open Division, contestants must be residents of Alabama. Landowner seminar The Alabama Association of Conservation is offering a landowner seminar covering many aspects of wildlife habitat and population management. The seminar will be held at Bear Branch Lodge in Walker County on August 19-21. Quail Forever to launch chapters Quail Forever, a national organization dedicated to quail conservation efforts has announced the formation of two new chapters in Alabama.
