Entries are now being accepted for an Oct. 29 golf tournament at Cider Ridge to benefit Kelley Steward, who is recovering from cancer surgery.

• Chris Buga of Heflin scored his first-ever hole-in-one Saturday when he aced the 162-yard fourth hole at Pine Hill Country Club with an 8-iron. The shot was witnessed by Chris Hubbard and Chris Harrell.
