Bessie Fleenor Yates, age 80, of Blountville, Tenn., passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Jacksonville. She was born April 4, 1930 in Scott Co., Va., a daughter of the late William and Cordia Whitaker Fleenor. She has lived in the Boozie Creek area most of her life and was a member of Gardners Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Fleenor, Fred Fleenor and W. S. “Dub” Fleenor, Jr.

Funeral services for Dr. Louise R. Clark, 90, of Jacksonville, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Entombment followed in Forestlawn Mausoleum. Dr. Clark passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010, at Piedmont Health Care Center.
