You see him every day, and you do not know his name. You know, that man that runs – rain or shine, cold or hot – up and down Alabama Highway 21 His name is Frank Bowie and he slowed down for a bit to let us get to know him a little better. Bowie said that he started running as a child.

Last year, Jacksonville was awarded an Urban and Community Forestry Financial Assistance Grant though the Alabama Forestry Commission. After months of planning and preparation, the Tree Commission of Jacksonville brought to the City Council a plan to put that money into action.
