An 88-year-old Woodland man died Monday after his all-terrain vehicle crashed into a utility vehicle in Randolph County.

James William Lowe was driving a John Deere Gator Monday morning on Randolph County Road 531, one mile north of Woodland, according to a release sent by Charles Dysart, Alabama State Troopers public information officer.

Lowe’s vehicle hit a Caterpillar road scraper operated by Curtis Yarbrough, of Roanoke, at 10:12 a.m., the release stated. Yarbrough was not injured during the crash, the release noted.

The wreck was under investigation today by State Troopers, according to the release.
