On March 19, our 16-month-old grandson became unresponsive and began to have a seizure. We quickly called 911, and within five or six minutes the Oxford EMS was at our house and immediately began working on our grandson to stop the seizure.

He was quickly transported to Regional Medical Center, where the emergency room personnel continued the treatment and got the outward seizures stopped, realized he needed further treatment and arranged for a flight to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham (we were there within 21/2 hours of the time we placed the 911 call).

We were so impressed with the quick response and immediate treatment by the emergency and hospital personnel. Our grandson’s hospital stay at Children’s was short and he is fine. I don’t think these folks get the recognition they deserve. Thank you all so much for your service to our community.
