On March 18, our five large pine trees were uprooted by the fierce storm that came through our front yard. Part of the trees blocked our road and driveway plus it knocked our power line down.

We would like to thank Jason Bedford of the Oxford Fire Department for coming out and directing traffic and the city of Oxford Street Department for clearing our road that night where others could pass through. We would also like to thank Alabama Power Co. for working in the dark to restore our power line.

Many thanks go to the Calhoun Baptist Emergency Response Team and the Heflin Baptist team for cutting trees up and clearing debris where we could get in our driveway and clearing our yard.

It is wonderful to live in a city and county where there are still caring people and God is still evident. God bless you all.
