I don’t have a problem with providing insurance to those who can’t afford it, but what I have a problem with is someone who has insurance has to pay for those who choose not to insure themselves.

I also have a problem with the insurance companies that charge these outrages premiums and then add on higher deductibles and copays. Before they pay, the insurance companies negotiate lesser fees for what they will pay and leave the individual the responsibility to pay the rest. Why can’t we benefit from the negotiated price instead of the insurance companies? If I had all of the premiums that I have paid then I could afford to pay off the balance of what is due.

Why can’t the government force private insurers to do their part? Why do we have to pay higher prices than those who don’t have insurance to cover the expenses they don’t pay? Where does it stop?

I am on a fixed income, and where do insurance companies have the right to tell my doctor what care is covered and what is not? It is time to legislate the insurance companies and make them responsible for their part for health care. How long does this go on, or should we all just do without and hope for the best?

My thoughts are the insurance companies and the government just want us to die, but then we can’t afford the funeral expense unless we take out more insurance. I have had enough of trying to be responsible, even though I still lose.
