Funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Pearson Sudduth, 93, was at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Everett Kelley officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery with Ervin Funeral Chapel directing. Mrs. Sudduth died January 21, 2010 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Robinson, of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Montressor (Sallie) Sudduth, of Anniston and Thomas (Sandra) Sudduth, of Jacksonville; two brothers, Henry (Sarah) Pearson, of Washington, D.C. and Quincy Pearson, of Troutville, Va.; five grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Sudduth was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Hobson City and was retired after many years of service with the Anniston Children Service Inc. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Ervin Funeral Chapel. Public visitation will be today from 12:00-8:30 p.m.
