Police were searching Thursday for a man who allegedly shot a gun into an Anniston woman’s home earlier this week.

A 42-year-old woman told police she was outside her home on the first block of Railroad Avenue Tuesday morning when the father of her child arrived and yelled obscenities at her, Anniston Police Sgt. Chris Sparks said.

The sergeant said the man brandished a gun and fired shots into the residence.

No injuries were reported, Sparks said.

A police report shows the bullets damaged a screen door, a wall and an aquarium.

Sparks said the man fled after the victim called police.

The suspect could face charges of second-degree domestic violence and discharging a firearm into a building, both felonies, according to the police report.
