BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- The Ohio Valley Conference has named Jacksonville State's Griffin Thomas as its special teams player of the week.

The senior place-kicker set three school records and hit the game-winning field goal in JSU's 24-21 double-overtime win against North Alabama on Saturday.

He kicked field goals of 50, 42, 44, 26 and 20 yards. His five field goals came on six attempts, both of which are school records. His 16 points tied a school mark for most points by kicking.

The 20-yarder was his third game-winner in the past two seasons.

Jacksonville State returns to action Saturday against Sun Belt Conference opponent Georgia State at 1 p.m. in the Georgia Dome.
