No one was injured during a fire at a single-story home north of downtown Anniston at around 3:30 a.m. today.

Anniston fire Assistant Chief Rick Sensenbach said the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the department. He said at 10 a.m. today that investigators were still on the scene, which is on east 26th Street between Wilmer and Noble Street.

According to the assistant chief, the home was not occupied, and investigators were still trying to contact the owners of the property at 10 a.m. today.

Sensenbach said the home was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene. Three engine companies responded to the call, and the department had the fire contained within 45 minutes.
